Chasing Lightning Bugs Studio provides a unique and beautiful array of handmade items that are perfect to use as daily staples in your home and equally perfect to choose when you need to find the ideal gift. The items I offer in my studio blend a grandmother’s ideals with a fresh youthful flair; there is nostalgia for seasons past combined with hopefulness for a bright, full future. While I work I often think of a busy farm in the 1930s where nothing was thrown away if it could possibly be used. The process of creating something from an idea and simple materials is what fuels my little workshop. The fabrics and ideas blend to create a mélange that represents the simple qualities that make life precious.
